Recap

This game wasn't the most exciting one. In the 1st period, at the 9:15 mark, the only penalty occurred. Dalton Smith was charged with interference. This gave Hershey the chance for a goal, and they took advantage. Chris Brown scored his 15th of the season (and 1st as a Bear), from Kris Newbury (1st point as a Bear) & Dane Byers. Later in the period, Syracuse tied it up. Charles Landry scored his 1st of the season, from Philippe Paradis & Yanni Gourde. Syracuse had a 13-11 shot advantage after the 1st.

The 2nd period only had one goal, and it was for Syracuse. Dalton Smith scored his 5th of the season, from Evan Rankin & Maxime Langelier-Parent. Syracuse kept the shot advantage at 26-23. In the 3rd period, at the 9:13 mark, Hershey was able to tie it up. Matt Watkins scored his 10th of the season, from David Kolomatis & Dane Byers (2nd assist of the night). Syracuse had the 34-32 shot advantage going into the overtime period. Almost 2 minutes into the overtime, Syracuse got the goal. Jon DiSalvatore scored his 10th of the season, from Brett Connolly. Syracuse finished with a 37-34 shot advantage, and the now-famous goalie for Syracuse, Kristers Gudlevskis (known for his performance for Latvia against Canada in the Olympics), had 32 saves. Philipp Grubauer finished with 34 saves in the losing effort. Hershey looks to get back to their previous winning ways tomorrow night at home, this time against the Adirondack Phantoms. Game time is at 7.
