This could possibly be the most important win of the season. They were outplayed most of the game, and then they finally got it all together. Starting early in the 1st period, at the 1:59 mark, Albany's Mattias Tedenby was charged with hooking. At the 8:26 mark, Kelly Zajac was charged with high-sticking. Late in the period, at the 19:18 mark, Hershey's Michael Latta was charged with hooking. 29 seconds later, and 13 seconds before the end of the period, Albany got on the board. Stefan Matteau scored his 12th of the season, from Kelly Zajac & Mattias Tedenby. After the 1st, Albany had a 12-7 shot advantage.

The 2nd period didn't have any scoring, but it had three penalties. Hershey was charged with every one of them. At the 2:48 mark, Brandon Segal was charged with boarding. At the 8:06 mark, Kris Newbury was charged with interference. And at the 15:49 mark, Peter LeBlanc was charged with delay of game. After the 2nd, Albany had a 16-14 shot advantage.

In the 3rd period, the entire complexion of the game changed. At the 3:46 mark, Hershey's Kris Newbury was charged with hooking. At the 9:32 mark, after Hershey had a great scoring chance, Albany's Adam Larsson was charged with holding. 19 seconds into the power play, Hershey finally got on the board. Dane Byers scored his 12th of the season, from Kris Newbury & Casey Wellman. Around 4 minutes later, Hershey took the lead with one of the most important goals of the season. Chay Genoway scored his 3rd of the season, from Casey Wellman (2nd assist of the night) & Nicolas Deschamps. At the 17:29 mark, Albany's Alexander Urbom was charged with slashing. In that power play, and 1:01 before the end of the game, Hershey got the insurance goal. Brandon Segal scored his 16th of the season, from a beautiful pass by Jeff Taffe. 3 seconds before the game ended, Hershey got an empty-netter to make it 4-1. Brandon Segal scored his 17th of the season (2nd goal of the game), from Michael Latta. Hershey finished with the 26-22 shot advantage, with David Leggio having another strong performance with 21 saves. Hershey will look to win again tomorrow at home, this time against the St. John's IceCaps. Game time is at 7.
