Recap

What a great win! These are the kind of games the Bears need to get into the playoffs. Starting off in the 1st period, Hershey's Nathan Walker was charged with unsportsmanlike conduct. At the 10:18 mark, Adirondack got on the board. Derek Mathers scored his 2nd of the season, from Kyle Flanagan & Marcel Noebels. 33 seconds later, Adirondack's Brandon Alderson was charged with slashing. At the 17:57 mark, Adirondack was charged with a bench minor for too many men on the ice. A second after the power play ended, and two seconds before the end of the period, the Bears tied it up. Brandon Segal scored his 15th of the season, from Jeff Taffe & Peter LeBlanc. Hershey had the 12-6 shot advantage after the 1st.

The Phantoms showed more effort in the 2nd period, but the Bears took advantage of their chances. At the 4:44 mark, Hershey took a 2-1 lead. Ryan Stoa scored his 13th of the season, from Nicolas Deschamps & Patrick Wellar. At the 9:18 mark, Hershey's Patrick Wey was charged with holding. 5 minutes later, Hershey's Kris Newbury (2nd game with the Bears after being a Phantom) was charged with a double minor for high-sticking. The last part of that power play was taken off, as Adirondack's Mike Matczak was charged with hooking. One second after that power play ended, Hershey made it 3-1. Michael Latta scored his 10th of the season, from Brandon Segal (2nd point of the night) & Nicolas Deschamps (2nd assist of the night). Adirondack had 16 shots in the period (22-20 shot advantage), but David Leggio stopped all of them.

The 3rd period only had one event, but it gave the Bears the 4-1 lead. Chris Brown scored his 16th of the season (2nd goal in 2 games as a Bear), from Nicolas Deschamps (3rd assist of the night) & Ryan Stoa (2nd point of the night). Hershey finished with the 34-30 shot advantage. David Leggio finished with 29 saves for his 17th win of the season. Hershey looks to get another win at home tomorrow, this time against the Norfolk Admirals. Game time is at 4.
