Recap

I don't really know what to say about this game, other then the Bears had some really bad luck with penalties. The 1st period started off with 4 penalties on 2 people. Hershey's Patrick Wellar was charged with fighting and unsportsmanlike conduct, and Norfolk's Zack Stortini was charged with the same. At the 7:52 mark, Norfolk's Charles Sarault was charged with tripping. Right before the power play ended, Hershey got on the board. Michael Latta scored his 9th of the season, from Nicolas Deschamps & Brandon Segal. At the 11:33 mark, Norfolk's Dave Steckel was charged with hooking. 17 seconds before the period ended, Hershey was charged with a bench minor for too many men. Hershey had a 9-5 shot advantage after the 1st.

This is where the Bears' luck ran out. At the 2:28 mark of the 2nd, Hershey's Nicolas Deschamps was charged with slashing. At the 9:46 mark, Norfolk tied it up. Andre Petersson scored his 18th of the season, from Charles Sarault & Emerson Etem. Around 45 seconds later, Hershey's Tyson Strachan was charged with boarding. 4 minutes later, Norfolk took the lead on a goal that was controversial. Chris Wagner scored his 10th of the season, from Steven Whitney. However, during that time, Hershey's Nate Schmidt was tripped and injured on the play. There was no call. At that same time, Hershey got a bench minor for unsportsmanlike conduct. 2 and a half minutes later, Hershey's Dane Byers was charged with boarding. Norfolk made it 3-1 on that power play. Max Friberg scored his 13th of the season, from Kevin Gagne & Emerson Etem (2nd assist of the game). Hershey had the 17-15 shot advantage after this period.

There was only a couple happenings in the 3rd period, and the first one was early. At the 0:47 mark, Hershey's Michael Latta was charged with roughing. At the end of the game, the Bears were charged with 3 penalties. Dane Byers was charged with hooking and got a misconduct for unsportsmanlike conduct. Patrick Wellar also got a misconduct for unsportsmanlike conduct. Hershey finished with the 24-21 shot advantage. Hershey's next game is against the Syracuse Crunch on Friday. Game time is at 7.
