9 straight wins at the Giant Center! After yesterday's rough game, this was a great way to come back from it. A little more than 3 minutes into the game, there was already 5 penalties for 3 players. For Norfolk, Chad Painchaud was charged with hooking, and Zack Stortini was charged with fighting and a misconduct for continuing the altercation. For Hershey, Joel Rechlicz got charged with fighting and a misconduct for continuing the altercation. 4 minutes later, Norfolk's Alex Grant was penalized for cross-checking. On that power play, Hershey's Julien Brouillette scored his 9th goal of the season, from Michael Latta & Ryan Potulny, to take an 1-0 lead. 5 seconds later, at the 8:26 mark, Norfolk's Andrew O'Brien was charged with elbowing. Later in the period, Hershey was charged with two penalties. At the 15:16 mark, Nate Schmidt was penalized for tripping, and at the 17:35 mark, Dane Byers was charged with slashing. Norfolk took advantage of the 2nd power play, as Devante Smith-Pelly scored his 16th of the season, from Max Friberg & Alex Grant. Hershey had a 10-8 shot advantage in the 1st.

In the 2nd period, the penalties continued. At the 3:03 mark, Hershey's Joel Rechlicz was charged for roughing. Around 3 minutes later, Norfolk's John Gibson (their goalie) was caught for interference. 4 minutes later, at the 10:04 mark, Norfolk's Antoine Laganiere was charged with hooking. Hershey took advantage of it 18 seconds later, as Brandon Segal scored his 14th of the season, from Jeff Taffe and Ryan Stoa. At the same time of the goal, Norfolk's Devante Smith-Pelly was penalized for cross-checking. 3 minutes later, the last penalty of the period occurred, as Norfolk's Nolan Yonkman got charged for elbowing. Hershey had the shot advantage 24-16 after this period.

In the 3rd period, Norfolk started off on the wrong foot. Antoine Laganiere was caught for tripping, and Norm Ezekiel was charged with high-sticking. On this 5-on-3 power play, Hershey's Jeff Taffe scored his 12th of the season, from Ryan Stoa and Brandon Segal, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Bears. Norfolk never got a true chance until the 13:04 mark, as Hershey's Dustin Gazley was penalized for delay of game. Norfolk couldn't take advantage, and Philipp Grubauer shut them down in the period. Hershey finished with a 37-28 shot advantage. The Bears take a break until Friday, which they have another 3 games in 3 days, starting against the Rochester Americans. Game time is at 7.
