Hershey is officially on the brink of elimination. Another heartbreaking loss leads them to this point. In the 1st period, things started off bad with an early Hartford goal on the power play (at the 2:39 mark). Danny Kristo scored his 2nd of the playoffs, from Chris Mueller & Chris Bourque. Less than 5 minutes later, on the power play, the Bears would tie the game. Connor Carrick scored his 2nd of the playoffs, from Chris Brown & Tim Kennedy. At the 8:44 mark, the Bears would take the lead. Chandler Stephenson scored his 1st of the playoffs, from Garrett Mitchell & Steve Oleksy. At the 13:16 mark, the lead would be increased to two with a shorthanded goal. Garrett Mitchell scored his 1st of the playoffs (2nd point of night), from Steve Oleksy (2nd assist of night). After the 1st, the Bears had the 12-9 shot advantage.


In the 2nd, not much would happen, except for the Wolf Pack getting to within one. Conor Allen scored his 1st of the playoffs, from Chris Bourque (2nd assist of night) & Marek Hrivik. After the 2nd, the Bears had the 24-22 shot advantage. Things would pick up again in the 3rd. At the 12:09 mark, the Wolf Pack would tie the game at 3. Chris Bourque scored his 4th of the playoffs (3rd point of night), from Marek Hrivik (2nd assist of night) & Joey Crabb. More than a minute later, the Bears would take the lead again. Liam O'Brien scored his 3rd of the playoffs, from Matt Moore & Chandler Stephenson (2nd point of night). However, with 3:24 left, Hartford would tie it again. Chris Mueller scored his 4th of the playoffs, from Michael Kostka & Mat Bodie. In the overtime period, Hartford would be able to get a shorthanded goal to win the game and take the series lead. Chris Mueller got his 2nd goal of the night (5th of playoffs), from Chad Nehring. Hartford finished with the 42-38 shot advantage.
