Behind a strong performance from Philipp Grubauer in goal, the Bears have taken a 2-1 series lead! This game was played in Worcester due to the circus being at Hartford's arena, and it really was a neutral ice game (only 908 people were at the game). The 1st period would be mostly controlled by the Wolf Pack, as they would get three power plays in the period. However, just like in the regular season, the Bears' penalty kill unit stood strong. After the 1st, the Wolf Pack had the 13-7 shot advantage. In the 2nd, the Bears would get on the board early (1:07 mark) to take the 1-0 lead. Nate Schmidt scored his 3rd of the playoffs, from Jakub Vrana & Casey Wellman.


The Bears would get some power plays in this period, but Hartford would be the one to score on one of them, as they got a shorthanded goal to tie it at one late in the period.
