Recap


The fact that the Bears had a 2-0 lead going into the 3rd with the shot advantage that the Pens had was very impressive. However, the shot advantage finally got to them, but the Bears were still able to get a point. The 1st did not have many events, as 2 penalties went against the Bears. After the 1st, the Penguins had the 8-2 shot advantage. 1:30 into the 2nd, the Bears got on the board. Jon Landry scored his 1st of the season, from Tomas Kundratek & Chris Brown. At the 11:40 mark, Hershey increased their lead to 2-0. Casey Wellman scored his 7th of the season, from Nathan Walker & Kris Newbury. The period ended with a fight between Hershey's Chris Brown & Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's Reid McNeill. After the 2nd, the Pens had the 19-9 shot advantage.


In the 3rd, the penalties were more spread out between the teams than in other periods, as each team had two penalties called against them. During one of the 4-on-4 times, at the 9:33 mark, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton got it to within one. Taylor Chorney scored his 1st of the season, from Carter Rowney. The game stayed at that score going into the final minute of the period, in which with 48 seconds left, the Pens tied it up. Jayson Megna scored his 3rd of the season, from Taylor Chorney (2nd point of the night) & Derrick Pouliot. Going into the overtime period, the Pens had the 32-15 shot advantage. Only 1:01 into overtime, the Pens got the win. Jayson Megna scored his 4th of the season (2nd of the night), from Derrick Pouliot (2nd assist of the night) & Beau Bennett. The Pens finished with the 34-16 shot advantage.
