AHL Announces Relocation of Teams

In a press conference today, the AHL announced that 5 teams will be relocated to create a Pacific Division for the 2015-16 season. All the teams will be moved to cities in California. The Anaheim Ducks purchased their affiliate (Norfolk Admirals) and will move them to San Diego. All of the other teams owned their affiliates previously. The Calgary Flames will move their affiliate (Adirondack Flames) to Stockton. The Edmonton Oilers will move their affiliate (Oklahoma City Barons) to Bakersfield. The Los Angeles Kings will move their affiliate (Manchester Monarchs) to Ontario. The San Jose Sharks will move their affiliate (Worcester Sharks) to San Jose.
