Recap

A big win to stay tied in points percentage with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the division lead. Justin Peters had his first strong performance in a long time in this game. The 1st period would have some power play chances, but nothing would come from them. After the 1st, the Bears had the 11-7 shot advantage. In the 2nd, 3:03 in, the Bears would get on the scoreboard. Aaron Ness scored his 5th of the season, from Dustin Gazley & Nathan Walker. After that period, the Bears had the 21-14 shot advantage.

In the 3rd, the power play chances would come for Utica. 13 seconds after the start of a 5-on-3 for them, they tied the game at one. Jordan Subban scored his 11th of the season, from Carter Bancks & T.J. Hansick. Justin Peters and Richard Bachman would stay strong throughout the rest of the period to send it to overtime. In that overtime period, the Bears would be able to get the goal on Bachman to win 2-1. Jakub Vrana scored his 12th of the season, from Ryan Stanton & Nathan Walker (2nd assist of night).
