Recap

I'm not sure I have words for what just happened. I'm pretty sure no one thought that this comeback could happen, but it did. What a way to end a losing streak. Starting off the scoring in the 1st, the Senators would be able to get a shorthanded goal 4:24 in. Ryan Penny scored his 1st of the season, from Buddy Robinson. 1:33 later, the Bears would tie the game up. Nathan Walker scored his 6th of the season, from Garrett Mitchell & Paul Carey. With 6:57 left in the period, the Senators would be able to take the 2-1 lead. Matt Puempel scored his 11th of the season, from Cole Schneider & Michael Sdao. After the 1st, the Bears had the 12-9 shot advantage.

In the 2nd, the Senators would try to put the game out of reach. 2:03 in, the lead was increased to two. Travis Ewanyk scored his 2nd of the season, from Cole Schneider (2nd assist of night) & Ryan Penny (2nd point of night). 38 seconds later, it was 4-1. Buddy Robinson scored his 6th of the season (2nd point of night), from Ryan Dzingel & Eric O'Dell. Dan Ellis would take over in goal for the Bears at this point. At the 15:11 mark, with the period going by fast with no penalties, the Senators got their lead to four. Ryan Dzingel scored his 8th of the season (2nd point of night), from Eric O'Dell (2nd assist of night) & Buddy Robinson (2nd assist/3rd point of night). Starting at the 16:41 mark, the comeback began. Nathan Walker scored his 2nd of the night (7th of season), from Dustin Gazley. With 24 seconds left in the period, the Bears got it to within two. Travis Boyd scored his 6th of the season, from Chris Bourque & Madison Bowey. Going into the 3rd, the shots were tied at 22.

In the 3rd, the Bears kept the momentum going by surviving two early power plays that could have stopped the comeback. It would take a while, but with 7:53 left, they got within one. Sean Collins scored his 6th of the season, from Madison Bowey (2nd assist of night) & Christian Djoos. It was looking like the Bears would be one goal away at the end, but with 1:12 left, they were able to tie the game at 5. Garrett Mitchell scored his 4th of the season, from Nathan Walker (3rd point of night) & Christian Djoos (2nd assist of night). In the overtime period, the Bears only shot would go in to cap off the amazing 6-5 victory. Chris Bourque scored his 11th of the season (2nd point of night), from Madison Bowey (3rd assist of night) & Dan Ellis. The Bears finished with the 32-31 shot advantage.
