This game looked like it would be another blowout for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, but Hershey held strong and made this a good game. The Pens are scary good. The 1st period included nothing of note, as the refs let them play for most of the period except for offsetting penalties. After the 1st, the Bears had the 9-8 shot advantage.

In the 2nd, the goals would come. 26 seconds into the period, the Penguins got on the board. Kevin Porter scored his 3rd of the season, from Will O'Neill & Tim Erixon. At the 9:24 mark, the lead increased to two. Niclas Andersen scored his 2nd of the season, from Oskar Sundqvist. On a power play for the Penguins (14:19 mark), the lead went to three. Jean-Sebastien Dea scored his 7th of the season, from Tim Erixon (2nd assist of night) & Dominik Simon. With 14 seconds left in the period, the Bears would get on the board.
