It's been a while since I've seen a game that has had this many penalties in just the first two periods. After 7 penalties had already been given out (including two fights and 3 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties), a 2 goal surge for the Bears occurred in a matter of 1:25 starting at the 6:03 mark. The first goal went to Chris Brown (6th of the season), from Chris Conner & Tim Kennedy. The second goal went to Philippe Cornet (5th of the season), from Stanislav Galiev & Connor Carrick. After the 1st, the Bears had the 13-3 shot advantage, and the penalty minute count was at 32.
The 2nd period would be filled with more scoring and even more penalties. A power play goal would bring the Senators within one. Derek Grant scored his 8th of the season, from Shane Pierce & Carter Camper. Only 12 seconds into a power play, at the 8:22 mark, the Senators met Hershey's power play master. Stanislav Galiev scored his 9th of the season, from Chris Conner (2nd assist of the night) & Chris Brown (2nd point of the night). 1:36 later, the Bears increased their lead to three.
